In the software development world, a tag is used to mark a milestone or other point in time to keep track of. The next version/update of the amazing Tasty WordPress theme has been tagged and is ready for all of you to enjoy!
This post is primarily focused at all of my Tasty customers, so if you're a general reader this might not concern you too much. (I'd advise you to take a look at my Tasty theme, though!) It's been a while since a new version has been released, so I thought it would be nice to go through some of the improvements since 1.2.
Improved Pagination
I'm a nut for little display tweaks here and there, so this little pagination bug has been on my nerves a while. The pagination bar would show up even if there weren't any pages to head to. Not a major issue, especially once you've got more than a couple blog posts on your site, but a bug nonetheless.
Improved (and slightly experimental) Post Titles
This feature will automatically resize the headings of your posts to fit inside of the container. Meaning if you have an uber long title that would have normally been cut off with an ellipsis, it will now resize to fit perfectly (or, almost perfectly).
Minor SocialGrid Tweaks
SocialGrid 2.0 hasn't quite made it into Tasty yet, as i'm still considering it an alpha experiment. I did borrow a few enhancements that I made to SocialGrid on my journey to 2.0 for this latest release of Tasty, so you get a little boost there. Primarily CSS and animation adjustments, and links now open in a new window.
Miscellaneous Fixes
There were also a handful of very small bugs fixed, notably an issue with the comments link in the main post loop not actually linking to the correct area.
If you're a Tasty owner, you've already received an email with instructions on how to download and install the update! Enjoy!
