Just restart the phone. It happend to me initially too, but now typing works fine.
Happens on the old ones too. Restart sorts it out. Mine didn’t do it all the time. Usually in landscape mode.
The touch does it as well. Its normally when a site isnt fully loaded it does that.
I HATE!! When it does this!! It totally annoys me!!….But its still an iPhone and I still love it lol
