Livesearch

I am working on a few projects behind the scenes and wanted to test out a few things on Whalesalad, since it has a ton of data in its database. I spent a few hours tonight hooking up a pretty nifty and 100% custom live-search implementation. Just type in the search box to the left and watch the results appear in the main window. It’s not that advanced, just your typical live-search. It’s powered by jQuery and a slightly modified yet typical index.php that you might find in any WP theme. Nothin’ fancy. I might add some more functionality to it later, but it’s complete so there’s one more addition to the ’salad!
I’m also thinking about adding this to the public Elixir release, but I am on the fence so you guys out there will have to convince me otherwise.

Your Livesearch is responsive and appropriately styled. Thanks.
Hey, the Livesearch is really cool…
Add this! It is nice.
I’d love to see this. Any chance of releasing the code for inserting into other themes? THANKS. X
really cool Michael
I love the themes. Looking forward to your release of the live search plugin? or the implementation for elixir.
I’d love to see this implemented into your elixir theme, I currently use two color variations on two of my sites. I’m also one who purchased your Moscow theme awhile ago, I love your themes, and am always excited to see what you do next. Take care, and many thanks!
I’m considering making this a part of Elixir. Elixir needs a lot of work though, so this wouldn’t be released until the next major release. It isn’t compatible with IE6 which I recently discovered, which is a pretty basic fix (as this site has been fixed) but I have a lot of other things going on so working on Elixir hasn’t been easy lately.
it works fast and clean on safari 3/leopard. i just downloaded elixir and started playing with it and would love live search integration.
keep up the good work!
Michael…thanks for all your great work. I’ve literally gone through a few dozen different WordPress templates and I keep coming back to yours. It’s simple, clean, and well laid out.
I hope you can free up some time to bless us with this LiveSearch-enabled Elixir template. I know that all of us would be incredibly grateful.
